Ryan Clement started coaching quarterbacks at Mullen High School in 2000, after which he left for the XFL, but the coaching bug never left him. He founded Category 5 on the belief that quarterbacks need to be instructed in a variety of disciplines on a consistent basis.
In 2006 he brought those principles to Regis High School where he helped Klay Kubiak earn a scholarship to Colorado State University. That same year Ryan began consulting parents and coaching athletes on a regular basis through the Category 5 system.

Matt Finkes currently serves as the Defensive Line coach at Hilliard Darby High School. In addition to providing players with personal instruction in the off-season, Matt has mentored 17 athletes who received Division I scholarships and many others who have continued to play at other levels.
Also a wrestling coach at St. Paris Graham High School from 2008 to the present, Matt has worked with countless state champions and has been a part of three State Champion Teams and two National Champion teams.

Coach Broering is former star QB at Muskingum College. He's a 19-year Coaching Veteran who has mentored five Div. I College QBs and numerous all-state QBs.
Coach Broering has been a multi-time selection as assistant coach of the year in his district and former Offensive Coordinator of the Big 33 Football Classic.
Graduated from Marion Pleasant high school in 2005. Trevor was a 3 year starter in high school and an all state selection. Guided Pleasant to the 2002 state championship as a starter. Overall was 36-2 as a starter. After graduating from Marion Pleasant, played for The Edinboro Fighting Scots which is a Division 2 school in Northwest PA and was a starter for 4 years. During his time at Edinboro, he broke every passing record that Edinboro had. Trevor was selected as Freshman of the year of the PSAC West for his freshman campaign. He was then PSAC Offensive player of the year for 2 seasons during his career. He was an all conference selection for all 4 years that he was in college being a 2nd team all selection as a freshman, and a 1st team selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior. Trevor was also named Northeast regional player of the year during his time and was a 2 time national finalist for the Harlon Hill trophy, which is the equivalent to the Heisman trophy for Division 1.
All told, Trevor threw for 11,899 yards and accounted for nearly 13,000 yards of total offensive yards. He threw for 100 touchdowns and had 118 total touchdowns during his 4 years at Edinboro. Trevor was also named to a number of All American teams as a junior and senior. Trevor broke every passing record that Edinboro has to offer, broke several PSAC all time records, and is in the top 5 of a lot of passing records all time for Division 2. After college Trevor was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent shortly after the 2010 NFL draft. Trevor played with the Jaguars all the way through the preseason. He was brought in by 3 other teams (Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills) for tryouts throughout the season and is waiting for a contract offer to sign with another team.
Coach Miller was a standout wide receiver for Ohio State University from 1997-2001. He was then drafted in the 6th Round by the Green Bay Packers. He subsequently retired after spending two years in the NFL and one year in the XFL.
While he remains an active businessman, Coach has stayed close to the football world in his media role and is another Category 5 coach who has made it to the top and knows what it takes to get there.
Derek graduated from Grove City High School in 1998 after a senior year of 2748 rushing yards and earning the title of Mr. Football in the state of Ohio. He went on to have an outstanding career at Ohio State where he was a four year letterman for the Buckeyes playing tailback and returning kicks. He was named the team MVP in 2000 and carried that success on to the NFL where he was drafted by the Oakland Raider in 2001. Derek spent 2 seasons with the Raiders and 1 season with the Green Bay Packer before retiring in 2003.
Coach Ray was a 4-year letterman and 1st Team All-Big Ten and 2nd team All-American selection at the University of Michigan from 1994-98. After playing in the NFL in 1999 with the Oakland Raiders, he's been in coaching for ten years, beginning from high school and moving through the college coaching ranks.
He was a graduate assistant at Central Michigan and is the current DB coach at Ohio Dominican.
Chris was a former Division I Sprinter and Hurdler who has grown up around football and track and field. His dad was a high school track coach for 35 years. After an ACL tear the first football game of his senior year of high school football, Chris concentrated on track and field.
Chris has trained over 25 professional athletes, 25 Division I athletes and Senior World Champions in sports such as football, baseball, wrestling and soccer. He has prepared more than 20 collegiate athletes for their NFL Pro Days and workouts prior to their seasons. Chris specializes in speed, agility and combine training. Chris has trained athletes in sports such as football, baseball, track and field, basketball, wrestling, soccer, volleyball and tennis.
Chris was the former Head Strength Coach for D1 Sports Training Columbus Ohio, former Owner of Speed Strength Sports Training and was a high school track and field coach.

Krenzel attended Henry Ford II High School (Sterling Heights, Mich.), and was an excellent student and a letterman in football (3 yrs), basketball (2 yrs), and baseball (1 yr). In football, as a senior, Krenzel completed 60 percent of his passes and threw for 1,760 yards and 25 touchdowns, and won USA Today honorable mention All-America accolades that year.
He played in college for The Ohio State University Buckeyes, with his most successful years being 2002 and 2003, when he led Ohio State to the national championships. He was known for his clutch play, smart decision making, and accuracy.
Krenzel was a three-time All-Big Ten award winner, recipient of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame post-graduate scholarship, Sporting News' Socrates Award winner, and Draddy Trophy winner. He was also awarded the Today's Top VIII Award (Class of 2004). His overall record with Ohio State is 24-3 as a starter.
Krenzel was drafted in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears, for whom he played the 2004 season. In 2005, he signed with the Bengals as third string backup behind Carson Palmer. Ankle and elbow injuries forced his early retirement in 2006. Craig is still passionate about football and loves coaching athletes with the same passion and love for the game!
